‘Tis the season for stocking stuffers!  Sometimes these are the easiest gifts, and sometimes they’re the hardest.  Luckily stocking stuffers for 4-year old boys are abundant, you just have to narrow down the best options…which I’ve done for you!

I love Christmas shopping (I love everything Christmas-related), so I spent a lot of time last year trying to come up with the best stocking stuffer ideas for my 4-year old son.  And they were all a hit!

These are the best stocking stuffers for 4-year old boys that you can find! All are non-candy stocking stuffers and most importantly, they're all inexpensive.

 

Lego Sets

If you’ve got a little boy that loves to put things together, then these small lego sets are PERFECT for stocking stuffers.  They range in price from $3-$7, so they’re pretty cheap and they come in a box small enough to fit into most stockings.

But more importantly, they are tons of fun!  Most of the sets have 3 different creations they can make and the directions are all in picture form, so they can do most of the building themselves.

My son LOVES these.  They’re a huge hit that will definitely be making an appearance in his stocking this year!

Paint Your Own Train, Car, or Plane

I’m so, so, so excited about this discovery and can’t wait for it to appear in my son’s stocking!  

Not only do they get to build their own train, car, or plane, but they can actually paint it and decorate it themselves with stickers.

These are only $5 each, which is great, especially since they are a Melissa & Doug product, which are often on the more expensive end.

Bath Crayons

My son STILL can’t take a bath without coloring a full train station on the bathroom wall, so these bath crayons will once again be making an appearance in my son’s stocking!

Bath toys have always been one of my favorite go-to stocking stuffers, so it’s great to have some that still work for 4-year olds!

Not to mention that anything that extends bath time is a good thing in my book!

 

Books for 4-Year Old Boys (Small Enough to Fit in a Stocking)

4 is a really fun age for books because a magical thing starts to happen: they become interested in learning to read!

So you really just can’t go wrong with books.

For the purposes of stocking stuffers though, you really need books that are small in size, which really isn’t too hard. You just need to know which ones to pick.

So here are some great books for 4-year old boys that are small enough to fit into a stocking:

 

Paint Sticks

Of all the arts and crafts gifts that my son has received, paint sticks are still his absolute favorite!  

They’re a cross between markers and paint, so they are way less messy (YES), but still just as fun.

They’re also the perfect size for stocking stuffers, so it’s a win-win all around.

Mask and Cape

My son has a November birthday, so we had these for all of the kids and they were a huge hit!  4-year olds are definitely at the age where superheroes are a big deal, so a cape and a mask can go a long way!

Fun Socks

Socks are perfect stocking stuffers for 4-year old boys, especially if you go the silly route!

My son was obsessed with these toe socks and they quickly became his favorite pair.

Not only is this a great opportunity to give them something you know you need to buy for them anyways, but it actually turns it into something fun!

 

Stickers

If you ask me, stickers are the greatest invention ever.  They’re cheap and easy to come by and kids LOVE them. 4-year old boys are no exception.

My son’s love of stickers has only grown as he has become more advanced with arts and crafts, so there is no such thing as too many stickers.

The best part is that there are a ton of options!  So pick something your 4-year old boy loves and go with them.  Here are the most popular choices:

 

Coloring Books

Coloring books are fun, cheap, and my favorite – consumable. Which means you really can’t have too many of them.

Another perk of coloring books is that there are a ton of different art supplies that can be used on them, especially for 4-year old boys.  

With the coloring books, consider adding some markers, colored pencils, or paint.
