DIY Salt Dough Halloween Ornaments

I am so excited to finally start a Halloween tree in our house this year! And that has led to the inevitable – DIY salt dough Halloween ornaments!

We are such a huge fan of salt dough ornaments in my house, so this was so much fun for both of my kids.

One of the things I love most about salt dough ornaments is that it is a really great activity for the kids that can be broken down into different phases and spread out over days or even weeks. It’s also a great way to get them in the Halloween spirit without needing candy!

Before having kids, Halloween was just a so-so holiday that really only served to pave the way for Christmas (in my biased opinion, at least ;-)). But AFTER having kids, Halloween became so much more! Kids LOVE Halloween and it can easily turn into one of those holidays that is never forgotten…regardless of the time of year. Pumpkin Pie Martini

I have to admit, I get sick of pumpkin spice flavors pretty quickly once Fall hits. But when a friend made me this pumpkin pie martini in early November, I LOVED it. It’s perfect for this time of year, especially as Thanksgiving starts to approach, and is amazing if you’re a sucker for creamy martinis (even though there’s no added cream!).
