I’m not the world’s best DIYer, so when I find a project that I can actually pull off, I get really excited! And if I can get my toddler involved, it’s even better. That’s what happened with these DIY bookmarks and they ended up being a huge hit (both for my toddler and everyone that got the bookmarks).
This scenario plays out in my house almost everyday: The playroom is strewn with blocks, cars are on their sides, balls are piled in the corner…and my son? He’s playing in our cabinet with the pots and pans. There’s no question he loves his toys, but sometimes I can’t believe how much he loves his “not toys.” So much so that I find myself converting old household products into play things just for some free indoor excitement.

My plan to wrap all of my Christmas gifts in shipping paper is going really well and I’m so excited to have figured out how to make these cute little DIY paper flowers! I won’t lie, they’re not nearly as simple as the DIY photo labels that I’m also making, but they’re just so darn cool looking that I can’t resist!
Luckily, when all is said and done they don’t really take that much time. And they are a great way to use up the extra scraps of wrapping paper, shipping paper, and scrapbook paper that I’m already using (so basically they cost nothing!).
