The Best Easter Basket Ideas for 1-Year Old Boys

Easter Basket Ideas for 1 Year Old Boys

I can’t wait to share these Easter basket ideas for 1-year old boys! This Easter will be a special one for our family.  While it won’t technically be the first Easter for my son, it will be the first one that he can really enjoy – and the first time I get to put together an Easter basket for him!

I’m certainly not planning on spending a lot – but I want it to be fun and I want to see his excitement.  I’m also going to be avoiding the classic Easter chocolates and candies (for obvious reasons).

So here are my Easter basket ideas for 1-year old boys!  And of course a few toys and supplies that I’ve recently gotten for him that he LOVES (so that I can pass on the good fortune to you!).

10 Gifts 1-Year Old Boys Will Love

The 10 Best Gift Ideas for 1-Year Old Boys

Technically it isn’t hard to find gifts for a 1-year old boy.  There are thousands and thousands of options. BUT…that doesn’t mean that they’ll like your gift – or that their parents will.

My husband and I have the “luxury” of a child with a November birthday, so we get a double whammy of gifts each year for his birthday and Christmas.  With so much out there it can be really hard to know what is actually worth a purchase, so I’ve done the leg work for you and tested out just about every product under the sun.

DIY Christmas Gift Wrap Paper Flowers

My plan to wrap all of my Christmas gifts in shipping paper is going really well and I’m so excited to have figured out how to make these cute little DIY paper flowers!  I won’t lie, they’re not nearly as simple as the DIY photo labels that I’m also making, but they’re just so darn cool looking that I can’t resist!

Luckily, when all is said and done they don’t really take that much time.  And they are a great way to use up the extra scraps of wrapping paper, shipping paper, and scrapbook paper that I’m already using (so basically they cost nothing!).

So without further ado, here’s how to make these little beauties for yourself: (more…)

My 1 Year Old’s Holiday Season Bucket List

I’ve always loved the holiday season, but this year is going to be more amazing than usual.  My little guy is going to make it a thousand times more enjoyable and I can’t wait for all the things I want to show him.

Christmas has always been a big deal for me, but this year one of the greatest additions will be celebrating Halloween.  I’ve never been a fan of Halloween (other than it marked the last day of the non-Christmas season), but now that I have a son it has taken on a whole new meaning.

So with all of the great Fall Bucket Lists I’ve seen come out, I couldn’t resist putting together my own Holiday Season Bucket List for my littlest love.  Let’s hope we can live up to my plan and pass down our love of the holidays! (more…)

Ten Minute Toffee

I don’t know about you, but over in my corner of the universe Fall is in the air. Autumn crafts are filling up my Pinterest feed, boots are lining the store shelves, and I’m finally able to leave my windows open all day. And when the jeans come out, so do the extra-special goodies that bathing suits just don’t allow for – like one of my ultimate favorites, Ten Minute Toffee.

This recipe literally takes just 10 minutes. And it is SO GOOD. I mean… butter, sugar, chocolate, saltines??  Come on. It’s a dream. And it is so, so easy to make (plus only needs 4 ingredients).

So without further ado, here is my recipe for Ten Minute Toffee: (more…)
